Summer Friday Vibe Playlist
This year many of us have found it tough to stay motivated and creative. One of the things that I love to do is attend music festivals, and with all of them cancelled, I’ve gotta say I’ve never missed standing in the sun and dancing with 10’s of thousands of my favourite strangers as I have this year. But, this past week, I got away with a few of my closest friends – one being a DJ, and somewhere on a little island in Northern Ontario, we created our own little festival.
I wanted to share some of that magic with you. This week I’m sharing a playlist of some of the songs that had us dancing into the sunset. Every week, I’ll be adding to it, so feel free to download and follow.
The Power Of Music
As a grown-up pastor’s kid, I’ve spent almost all of my Sundays in church. I have to say the worship service was always my favourite. Something mystical happens when music connects with your soul.

I’m not sure if any of us have ever seen this current level of “sorrowful anxieties” shared globally the way we have this past year and a half. It’s been pretty inescapable, but for one afternoon on our own little island this past week, we danced together on the injustice. We smiled, we laughed, and the anxiety disappeared.
